What do I need to do to qualify for a home mortgage?
1. Meet with a professional to assess your unique situation. Whether it’s a Mortgage Advisor or Realtor. This meeting should
discuss all of your options in today’s Real Estate market. Some options to consider are buying a foreclosed home. Or maybe
buying a home with renovations in mind as your primary residence or investment.
2. Depending on the outcome of your meeting with a professional, this step applies to most all scenarios and is most important. Get
pre-approved, not pre-qualified. Pre-approved is a credit, income, & asset verification process. This process may take 1 day or 90
days. Verifications usually involves providing documentation from yourself and others if necessary. A pre-approval adds
efficiency and clarity to everyone involved in this process.
3. Finally, once you’ve been pre-approved, your ready to buy! Today’s market provides many opportunities for a buyer. Whether
its your first time or not, now is the time to take advantage of today’s low interest rates.
