The Annual Centerville Citywide Garage Sale runs from 8:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m., Thursday, May 3, 2012, through Saturday, May 5, 2012. Centerville residents who would like to participate, must register in advance now through 9:00 a.m., Friday, April 20, 2012.
What do you get for registering and participating? Each participating household will be provided with one sign and advertising in a local newspaper. Addresses of participating households along with a brief list of items for sale will be listed on the City's website.
Inevitably, there is stuff you are not going to sell. Centerville is home to the largest Goodwill Store in the area, so it's always nice to support Goodwill, but if you don't have the means or inclination to do that, the city will be hauling away big stuff the following week- May 7. 2012. Public Works crews will pick up household items with the following exception: motor oil, auto parts, concrete, brick, sod, dirt, stone, propane tanks, large quantities of construction materials, loose brush or hazardous waste. This is a free service. All items should be placed at the curb by 7:00 a.m. on your regular waste collection day.
