January in Dayton can be kind of bleak and dreary. The cold, the gray, the short days of Winter really begin to take their toll on the general spirits of Dayton residents, but this year, Dayton is in for a treat- literally. On January 27th, DaytonMostMetro.com will be presenting the inaugural Sweet Treats Festival. Join us for an afternoon to indulge your sweet tooth by sampling the very best of Dayton bakeries, confectionaries, pastry artisans, and a variety of sweet home-based businesses.

But this isn't just a way to shake off the Winter Blues, the real purpose behind the Sweet Treats Festival is that a portion of the proceeds will benefit A Kid Again. This organization works to enrich the lives of children with life threatening illnesses and their families by providing healing times of respite through fun-filled group activities and destination adventures. It's a great organization and this benefit event is a great way to feel like a kid in a candy store.

Tickets are $25.00 a person and there are already 20 vendors involved, representing cupcakes, baked goods, chocolate, candy, and coffees, just to name a few of the sweet treats you can expect. The Sweet Treat Festival will be held at Commander Aero, aka the Dayton-Wright Brothers Airport in Miamisburg, at the Austin Pike Exit off I-75. Order your tickets online now, and I'll see you there!
